Marshall Art is the international project of rockin' duo jmr and streifig, in which the former builds monuments with authentic NES chiptunes and the latter wrecks them with a concentrated blast of post-rock guitar. With the release of their newest EP, Timeline, they've re-arranged some of their favorite VGM tunes for their return to Super MAGFest, and will be performing alongside the talents of post-rock guitar guru, Cory Johnson, Kirby's favorite drummer, Erich Beckmann, and Arc Impulse's talented keysmith, Jer Roque! It will be an 'Art for the Ages!
Close your eyes.
Imagine, if you will, an alternate universe.
A universe where Pink Floyd really liked video game music.
Imagine that after Roger Waters left (and finished sueing) the band, they opted to replace him with a modified Nintendo console.
Imagine them putting on an all-vgm performance with music from Earthbound, Undertale, Donkey Kong Country, and more.
Sounds cool, right?
There. Now you're in the right headspace to see Marshall Art at Super MAGFest 2018.
Marshall Art is Jeff "jmr" Roberts and Mikhail "streifig" Ivanov, and will be joined for this performance by Cory Johnson, Jer Roque, and Erich Beckmann.
